Da Nang has a new home for Vietnamese pottery heritage — and for craft in our city, that's good news.
A new pottery village has launched in Da Nang, developed by DHC Ceramics. It combines a cultural exhibition space with hands-on engagement centred around Vietnam's pottery heritage — a place where visitors can watch the craft and try it themselves.
For us at Candora, this is exactly the kind of thing we love to see in our city. We work in Dó paper and scented wax, but we share the same belief these makers hold: that Vietnam's craft heritage deserves a living, breathing place in the modern world — not behind glass, but in people's hands.
Why it matters
Heritage thrives when it's practised, not just preserved. Every new studio, workshop and village that opens in Da Nang strengthens the city's identity as a place where craft is made — and where travellers can meet the people who make it. We're glad to be part of that.
